Unilever, the consumer goods giant with a strong focus on sustainability, found kindred spirits in Facility Link when constructing their office at the Mapletree Business City. With such a diverse portfolio of brands and products, the office required an almost polymath approach to ensure their hair salon and spa, industrial grade kitchen and culinary showroom, ice cream bar and supermarket, as well as the usual conference rooms and office spaces, were constructed to the highest standards as befitting the global MNC Unilever is.
The Grade-A office, spanning six levels over 140,000 sqft, aimed for the highest (and as yet unattained) benchmark of the BCA Green Mark Platinum rating. As the only builders with such sustainability credentials, Facility link successfully assisted in the certification process.
It is of note that Facility Link’s successful delivery of the project led to yet another project at Nepal Hill for their first global leadership development campus outside of London. Called Four Acres, this facility was opened by Singapore’s Prime Minister in 2013.
