Flex views sustainability as a long-term survival strategy. In a world of limited resources, meeting the facilities needs of an ever-increasing population and effectively managing finite resources for future generations often become polarising and competing priorities. Sustained success, not the hit-and-run type, comes when you find a way to resolve this conflict in a rational, technically viable manner.
In responding to the challenge, Flex decided to let our actions do the talking, achieving the distinction of being the first fit-out company to attain for their own premises the BCA Green Mark for Office Interiors, as well as the USGBC LEED for Commercial Interiors certifications. Our sustainability credentials, established since 2008, include several firsts in the industry, locally and regionally. Our industry-leading portfolio of green projects, as well as our own efforts in sustainability, has also garnered recognition from the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) in terms of the Green Building Individual Award Commendation for our Managing Director.
